BIOGRAPHY

Simon Popp is a versatile pianist, known for his expressive and profound musicianship. Born in Switzerland and currently living in Berlin, he performs as both a soloist and chamber musician across Europe and the United States. His wide-ranging repertoire spans from Bach to contemporary works of the 21st-century with a particular affinity for composers of the Viennese Classical period and the German Romantic tradition.

Founded at the Bern University of the Arts in 2021, the Sonoris Piano Trio combines close friendship with artistic individuality to create a profound musical dialogue. Recognized as prize winners at the Orpheus Competition, their main aspiration is to strive for a unique unity of sound and expression in their interpretations.
